7-ELEVEN has submitted a site plan for a 3,000 square foot building with 6 fueling islands to be built at the top of the hill in the Promenade at the southwest corner of Promenade Parkway and Castle Rock Parkway.

Known as the father of the “Slurpee,” 7-Eleven had its start in 1927 as the “world’s first convenience store” by selling everyday staples on the dock of a Dallas Ice House.

After expanding in Texas, it began franchising in 1964. In 1969, it went international with 3,500 units. Today there are over 60,000 7-Elevens worldwide still functioning as a convenience store with gasoline pumps.
